Mayo TRAKA

4 July 2026

The Mayo Traka is a 200km self-supported gravel adventure through some of the wildest and least-travelled terrain in the West of Ireland. This is not a race, and it’s not a sportive. It’s a long day — or a very long night — on mixed surfaces, linking remote bog roads, forestry tracks, coastal sections and quiet mountain passes.

Gravel Grind West

August 23rd 2026

Off-Road Cycling Event

2025 was good, but 2026 will be EPIC

Get ready for an epic adventure this summer! The Gravel Grind West returns with a completely new route on August 24th, starting and finishing in Ballinrobe. This year, immerse yourself in scenic trails, old tracks, and rugged bog roads along the stunning shores of Lough Mask, weaving into the foothills of the Partry Mountains, and returning via the picturesque Lost Treasure Trail along the shores of Lough Carra.

Choose your challenge:

Route 1 – 60 km

Perfect for a fun, accessible ride.

Route 2 – 100 km

For those seeking a full gravel adventure.

We’ll have the route clearly waymarked, but for the true gravel experience, we highly recommend downloading the route onto your GPS device. That’s the best way to embrace the spirit of gravel biking — navigating through the wild and beautiful Irish landscape.

Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just starting, there’s a distance for everyone. Come join us for a day of adventure, camaraderie, and breathtaking scenery!
