Event Information
Sign on at The Mc William Hotel, Kilcolman Rd, Claremorris from 6 to 8pm on Saturday evening December 28th and again on Sunday morning from 8.00am to 9.45am.
At Sign on; Sign and bring your waiver with you (They will be at a table before you reach sign in)
Check all your details are correct, especially if you are part of a Club or Corporate Team, collect your bid number, this is to be worn on the front of your jersey or top (use pins), and timing chip this is to be worn on your leg ankle, its velcro fastened. Only Relay runners wear the bib.
There is a full house signed up so allow time to get signed in and collect your bits, if possible try and call on the Saturday evening.
Bike Racking: The Transition area will be open from 8.30am at the car park playground on the Ballinrobe road.(Beside Mac Mahon park) its 1km from sign on and 500m from the race start area. (Make sure your bike is in proper working order with your wheels pumped )
When parking your car, best to park at the Train station or the Carpark at the back of the Square (Super value), Please obey the marshals as we want to keep the Transition area free from traffic. No Parking on the footpaths outside Mc Mahon park PLEASE..
Allow enough time to jog back to the start area.
Race briefing, at 10.15am at Start area in the Square
Race Start at the Square at 10.30am sharp.
The Race
Starts with a 5.5k Run from The Square with a horn blast, running down James St, through the middle of the town, after 600m turn left into Mc Mahon park for a 4.8k loop (Please follow arrows) and signs back to Transition.
Transition
At Transition: First put on your helmet before you lift your bike, (change shoes if necessary) walk out to road side to Mount Bike sign before getting on your bike. Remember you will be turning RIGHT after 100m.!! (Keep your head up)
Cycle
18k Cycle: Follow roads arrows (White rectangle with red arrow) for 6k out towards Collerans cross roads, turn left towards Carramore, and on towards the Country club Junction at Hollybrook turning left onto the Ballinrobe Claremorris road for the final 8k towards T1, (Mc Mahon park) once back at T1 Dismount at sign and walk into Transition and rack your bike at the same place where you took it from then take off your helmet.
Please obey the rules of the road keep to the left
Rules apply (No drafting on the cycle stay 15m apart) This year we have motor bike stewards watching you !!
1.5k Run: Run in an anti clockwise direction around Lake Clare finishing at the Marquee .
At the Finish
We have water, fruit and some jellies at the finish Marquee, for the winners please stay around as we are taking pictures at the finish line for the local papers so we need you in your race (Club/ Team kit). This will be done at the podium area. Guys we are always doing our best to keep Mayo towns clean so leave “No Trace ” put all rubbish into the bins provided. Thank YOU Race organisation.
Showers; Claremorris leisure centre swimming pool will provide the showers for participants after the event, remember to bring race number otherwise no shower.

Prize giving will take place at the Mc William hotel from 12.15pm once everyone is finished.
We will have tea and coffee for the prize winners, the Mc William hotel will have a lunch special for the event so get some good quality nourishment to replenish your race efforts.
