Traffic notice for Cyclist taking on the Wild Mayo Ultra event.
Please be informed that the Wild Mayo Ultra endurance cycling event is scheduled to take place on Friday, May 10th, and Saturday, May 11th, 2024. This event will involve cyclists traversing various routes spanning the coastal and border areas of County Mayo.
Event Details:
Start Point: Clewbay Hotel, James St, Westport
Check in Friday May 10th from 6pm
Start Times:
Friday, May 10th, 8:00 PM (500k participants)
Saturday, May 11th, 7:00 AM (300k participants) and 9:00 AM (200k participants)

Finish Times:
Friday, May 10th, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (500k participants)
Saturday, May 11th, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (300k and 200k participants)

Route Highlights: The routes will take cyclists through scenic areas including Louisburgh, Leenane, Ballinrobe, Ballina, Achill Sound, and more.
Support Crews: Some cyclists will be accompanied by support crews in vehicles equipped with flashing orange beacons and warning signage.
Safety Precautions:
Please exercise caution and reduce speed when passing cyclists.
Allow a minimum of 1.5 meters when overtaking cyclists.
Offer a friendly beep of the horn to show support, as many participants are from outside the county.
