Ballinrobe Racecourse will host a festival of running at the Racetrack on May 21st with a running distances for everyone to enjoy.
The whole 1 mile route can be viewed from the stand, follow your runner from a distance or go track side to cheer them on.
The racecourse is used to having horses and punters around but this May its going to see a different type of racing..
The 1 mile lap (1.6km) has only 2m of elevation per lap, lovely smooth tarmac on the oval shaped track, this could be the perfect opportunity to set a new PB on your distance choice.
Bring the family for a great day out at a perfect location for a summer festival of running.
Starting from 10am, event distances include:
Once you cross the finishing line you still have to complete the following laps.
- Half Marathon (13 laps)
- 10 K (6laps)
- 5 K (3laps)
- Kids events, varies distances from 11am
Participants will run around the ambulance track with spectators cheering them on at the mile marker each time as they clock up the miles and the laps around the track.
There is a full morning of running to be enjoyed
We will host fun kids races for the different age groups.
Entry fee includes, water & food stop area on each lap, chip timing and finishers gift.
Category prizes for each event distance.
