John Greaney Team Hurtlocker Galway leads the Bridge Signs series.
After just 2 rounds the battle to take the title is very much still wide open, the Ballinrobe Duathlon on February 11th should tell us a lot more.
Ballina’s Iron woman Lorraine Carey holds a strong lead in the female section after winning the first 2 rounds.
The Over 40’s category is the most popular section of the series with former racing cyclist Derek Joyce of Galway bay leading the way, in the female section Westport’s Multisport athlete Mary Daly holds the forth.
The Over 50’s section see’s Western Lakes CC Martin Kinneavey lead and will cherish the Ballinrobe course, in the females series Breda Doyle still has the lead.
The flat Ballinrobe course may suit the strong powerful athlete but may crucify the light mountain goat, only time will tell.
